Emily K.
Private tutor in Cambridge, MA
Education
I graduated with a BA in English and a concentration in fiction writing from Barnard College, Columbia University (3.77 GPA), where I completed an honors thesis on the authenticity of the self in Virginia Woolf's 'Orlando.' I am currently enrolled in the doctoral program at the Editorial Institute at Boston University, where I am researching Tennyson and Victorian poetry.
Experience
I am eager to help and motivate clients to reach their full potential, so that they posses a greater, in-depth understanding of the subject matter. I tutored throughout college, and am excited to return to my roots. Though my focus is mainly on reading and writing, I also have experience with French and Latin.

Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and exploring Boston, which is an exciting change from New York City, where I lived for 10 years, and from Ohio, where I grew up. I am currently working on a book of poems, and voraciously reading Louise Gluck. In my spare, spare time, I like to shoot archery (and used to shoot for the varsity team at Columbia University!).
