Private tutor in Cambridge, MA
Wellesley College - BA, International Relations - Economics
I am currently enrolled at Wellesley College, where I'm working towards my bachelor's degree in international relations, as well as completing courses in political science and economics. Over the past few years, I've been able to gain a wealth of experience working with students from all walks of life where I've been able to tutor them and help them improve their study habits and gain valuable life skills along the way. Along with one-on-one tutoring, I've also worked as a camp counselor and an instructor for various after-school programs. I am qualified to tutor in a lot of subjects, including reading, math, economics, and standardized test prep. I've helped college-bound students prepare for the ACT, I've taught grammar to struggling English students, and I've helped people of all ages sharpen their persuasive writing skills. I believe that one of the main components that makes a great teacher is being able to explain difficult concepts in a way that's easy for anyone to understand. For this reason, I like to include a lot of examples and hands-on activities designed to help students learn how to actually apply their knowledge outside of the classroom. After all, a good education is more than just memorizing content for upcoming tests.

In my free time I enjoy journalling, reading, and a fair amount of Netflix. I also play Ultimate Frisbee and am a radio DJ for my college station, so my music knowledge is pretty extensive!
