Private tutor in Cambridge, MA
Harvard University - BA, Comparative Literature
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in comparative literature from Harvard University. Along with studying literature, I also focused on gender studies and the Arabic language. While pursuing my degree, I also worked as a tutor where I helped students improve their understanding in a variety of subjects. I have experience working with individuals on a one-on-one basis, as well as teaching classes and running workshops. While my passion has always been areas related to literature and language, I also have experience helping high school students prepare for standardized tests like the PSAT and SAT, as well as gain a better understanding of subjects like chemistry. I love working as a tutor because it gives me the opportunity to work with eager students who're trying to overcome academic obstacles and set themselves up for future success. Working one-to-one allows me to take a hands-on approach where I can work alongside the student to help them solve challenging problems and achieve all of their academic goals. I believe that one of the most important components of academic success is learning how to manage time and study efficiently. For this reason, I also like to focus on improving study habits and developing life skills, so that students can apply their knowledge outside of the classroom.
