Private tutor in Cambridge, MA
Harvard College - BA, Government
I am currently attending Harvard, where I am working toward a degree in government with a secondary focus on economics. I am also presently teaching a course in civic engagement and government to elementary school students. Previously, I had the experience of working with students in high school, running simulations for them at scholastic conferences. Additionally, I volunteered for an orphanage in Peru for a time, where I tutored girls in a bilingual environment. My specialties for tutoring are English (Writing, Reading, Essay Editing, Literature, Public Speaking, and Grammar and Mechanics) and Social Studies (American and World History, Comparative Government, and Politics). I can also tutor students in Philosophy. During high school, I worked with many students preparing to take standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, and PSAT as well as exams for Regents and AP classes. I can assist with all exam topics, including Verbal, Mathematics, Critical Reading, and Subject Tests. I have a solid background of working with students outside of strict tutoring. I have also assisted students writing essays for college. I am passionate about the learning experience, and I enjoy helping students excel. In my personal life, I enjoy outdoor activities such as sailing, field hockey, and running. I also enjoy reading and watching Netflix.
