I wholly understand the structure of an essay and know how to hone ideas into concise, clear written form. I love words, and I love sharing knowledge! The BU Communications school must stockpile red-ink pens, as there were never ending edits to all of our work. On our very first day of college, all 500 of my freshman class were given a pamphlet created by the dean entitled, "Please Don't Do That" (all of our professors lovingly shortened this to PDDT). In it were contained all of the grammatical mistakes that would surely get us failing grades on all of our work. We were immediately commissioned to memorize and adhere to it...or else! Luckily, we had some great tutors in our grad students that held office hours for anyone that wanted some help with our papers and proofreading for PDDT errors. I think that is how we all made it through!

I was a student athlete from kindergarten through college. I understand how difficult it is to juggle schoolwork with a demanding schedule, whether the outside commitment is a sport, club, job or otherwise. I am very easygoing, but know when and how to get the best work out of people. I believe that honesty and effective communication are the cornerstones of a good relationship. A teaching/learning relationship is no different! I have worked in a myriad of areas. I am currently an event planner in Boston. Before that I traveled the country with a facilitation team that taught leadership and management skills at corporate meetings, which was amazing and gratifying work. I have worked in book stores with bibliophiles and Hollywood production houses with cinephiles (I guess I would consider myself a very mild version of both!). I am passionate about helping people reach their potential--whether it be a person's potential in his/her job, class or even just the one simple task that is in front of him or her. I would love the chance to be a positive influence on anyone to reach out to me!
