Hello! My name is Jun, and I am currently a senior at Harvard University, pursuing an honors degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy. I have an extensive background in mathematics, science, and policy work, and hope to share that with my students through one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions. I have taken the SAT, achieving scores in the 98th percentile. Additionally, I have tutoring experience from elementary-level English, geometry, and phonics to college-level mathematics and statistics. Later this year, I will begin a master's program in Economics at Cambridge University (UK). I specialize in the SAT, ACT and particularly college counseling. I am happy to incorporate this counseling into test prep sessions. My teaching style is to target weak points in the exam first, and building strength in those areas before consolidating my students' understanding in the areas they are more familiar with. I will typically start with a diagnostic exam, look through some writing, and go from there! I believe that a session once or twice a week for 2-3 months is an adequate amount of time for preparing for an exam, though this is very individual and I am happy to tutor for a shorter/longer amount of time. I also have experience teaching elementary and middle school students, particularly in mathematics. I am flexible with time, and often hold sessions during the afternoon. I have a 12 hour cancellation policy, and I am happy to offer make up lessons. The location of each session is not set in stone, though most of my students meet me in the Harvard Square neighborhood. We will always meet in quiet public locations to allow for maximum concentration!
