Experience

I have a strong belief that the most valuable attribute of a good tutor is the ability to adapt and change their teaching style to the unique weaknesses and strengths of their students. This is an attribute I have tried to cultivate over the years so that I can be a more successful and helpful tutor. I have experience and knowledge with improvisation, which allows me to skillfully adapt and change my teaching style based on new challenges a student may be facing. As a graduate from MIT, I studied Physics, and completed my bachelor's degree. Right now, my main focus when tutoring is focusing on making sure my students are fully engaged and in tune with what I'm trying to teach them. I feel I have a natural ability to perceive when a student is not truly engaged in a tutoring session or understanding the material. Because I have worked as a director and actor, as well as earned a Science degree, I feel equally comfortable with the "artsy" and "science-y" kids. My goal as a tutor is to help my students love the subject they are learning, no matter how difficult it may be for them.
