ExperienceLSAT score of 180; SAT score of 2210 (Writing: 750, Critical Reading: 750, Math: 710); SAT subject test score of 800 (math 2).
Students who have worked with me on standardized tests have seen score increases up to 12 points on the LSAT, 270 points on the old SAT, 7 points cumulative on the ACT, and 2 quartiles on the ISEE.
I have extensive experience tutoring students of all backgrounds and with a variety of needs, from early elementary school through college graduates. My specialties include standardized tests for all ages and middle school to high school level math. I am happy to provide references from former students and their parents.
In addition to a variety of writing-intensive humanities courses, I took calculus and physics courses in college. I have also taken biostatistics, epidemiology, and economics as a masters student at Harvard.
HobbiesI'm a current MPH and law student at Harvard planning to go into public interest law when I graduate in 2017. I have taken challenging math and physics courses, and love reading and writing.
I worked full-time as a tutor for years, and enjoy working with students of all ages and skill levels--from those who are struggling to pass the classes they need to graduate high school to those hoping for a perfect score on their SATs. I always approach my lessons with the goal of encouraging students to find their own love of learning.

Lauren worked with my daughter on ACT prep for about 4 weeks and helped raise her score 2 points over her practice test. After 4 weeks of additional tutoring her score was up to a 30 (5 point increase over first practice test) this was with a semi-motivated student putting in a moderate amount of outside time. Thank you Lauren! I'm sure the increased test score will help her get enough extra merit $$ to more than cover your fees. Not to mention the increase in her confidence! C. Roed
I would highly recommend Lauren's tutoring services. She helped my daughter this spring, study and improve her grades in her pre-calculus class for her senior year. Lauren is responsible, knowledgeable, punctual, great follow-through, professional and extremely easy to work with. She was even willing to drive to West Seattle to meet and work with us!! I'm confident if you hire Lauren for any tutoring services, you'll be extremly pleased with your child's/student's success. We certainly were! :-) Thanks again, Lauren - You ROCK! Regards, K. Lauren is the best! She is punctual, organized and comes utterly prepared. We have also found her very flexible an willing to adjust according to the learning styles of my sons. They really like her, and are gaining confidence writing and math. We highly recommend her.
