Private tutor in Cambridge, MA
Education
In 2006 I earned a BA in physics from Carleton College, a small liberal arts college in Minnesota. In 2012 I completed a PhD in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. My area of research is astrophysics and gravity.
Experience
I am an MIT graduate with a PhD is physics. As an undergraduate and graduate student, I had extensive experience working as a tutor, teaching assistant, and lab assistant for a variety of physics courses. I also have experience working as a private middle school math tutor. My teaching style focuses on improving problem solving skills as opposed to rote memorization so that students can develop an intuitive understanding of math and physics. I am passionate about teaching, and I love sharing my knowledge of math and physics with others.
