Experience

I earned my comparative literature and creative writing degree at Princeton University. My focus was Spanish to English translation and Latin American literature. I had the opportunity to teach in Cambodia for a year following my studies, where I taught essay writing and English as a second language to university students. I also tutored adults in communication skills and business English. I can tutor a number of different subjects, but my favorites are ESL, reading, and writing. I can also help students prepare for AP exams, SAT test preparation, and others. I believe in a collaborative process with open communication, and I believe the tutors should encourage and believe in their students. This helps students stay interested and motivated. My other interests include music, and I enjoy songwriting, playing the guitar, and playing the piano. I also enjoy running and basketball.
