My name is Catherine Ahearn and I am currently working at the MIT Press after receiving a PhD at the Editorial Institute at Boston University. I am originally from New York and went to Middlebury College for my BA. The things I enjoy in life are traveling, exploring new restaurants, cycling, and helping others.
I enjoy tutoring because I have found that the experience is often equally as rewarding for the student as it is for myself. My approach to tutoring is a friendly, casual atmosphere in which students are made to feel comfortable, are free to ask questions, and hopefully even look forward to spending some time together. I am still in touch with some students I tutored almost 7 years ago!
If you believe your child could spend some extra time with reading comprehension, writing skills, college applications and essays, study skills, or any writing assignment I can certainly help.
