I think I make the most use of my education when I teach. Helping others is a priority for me, and tutoring provides opportunity for that. I'd like to tutor in order to share the knowledge I've gained over the course of my high school career.
Qualifications & Honors;
- Held a position as a paid research intern at Northwestern University over the summer, dealing with programming applications for their bio-informatics center.
- Co-captain of the Naperville North Math Team
- AP Scholar with Distinction
- National Merit Semi-Finalist
- A's in all courses I've taken in high school
I'm planning on majoring in computational biology.
HobbiesI love coffee, reading, and programming. Favorite books of mine include The Stranger by Camus, Nudge by Thaler and Sunstein, and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.
On a more academic level, though, I'm a member of Science Bowl, Scholastic Bowl, Math Team, Science Olympiad, and JETS (Junior Engineering Technical Society). These extracurriculars push me to my potential and have proved to be an integral part of my high school career. I'm passionate about science, math, and the overall pursuit of knowledge, and sharing that with others is nothing less than rewarding.
I'm excited for my first year at MIT, but I love tutoring so I'm hoping to continue here in Cambridge!
