I'm a hardworking Harvard student who wants to make make money on the side tutoring anyone who wants to learn!
Many people describe me as a cerebral, analytical person--I am good at picking apart problems and ideas, a skill crucial for tutoring. This probably comes from my experience debating in high school, which also honed my public speaking skills. I am a witty person; I enjoy drawing on books, articles, etc. that I've encountered to give an interesting perspective on issues. Overall I am very intellectually curious.
People learn in order to gain greater mastery over the mind and thus the world around them, as the mind facilitates the self's rational understanding of the world. Learning enriches our reality in a very fundamental way; when an educated mind views the world it sees so much more than surface appearances. This depth of perspective is becoming increasingly necessary in the 21st century.

Got back to me in an hour, available and easy to schedule with. Helped with both math homework and an essay. Since we were having a big snow storm we skyped and it worked out great. Definitely will use his help again. He also is going to help me prepare for Student Congress. Highly recommend.
My 9th grader was having trouble with some concepts in algebra. John was very patient, enthusiastic and clear. Her grade went from B- to A in just one month. And now she likes the class. Highly recommended.
John was a very effective tutor in preparing my son in calculus. We saw improvements in his grades immediately. He is a friendly guy and my son enjoyed working with him.
John is a great counselor and I believe he must be a good tutor. We met him to discuss what my children should prepare for College. He was very kind and helpful. We definitely enjoyed talking with him.
This tutor is King of Statistics! I over 25 hours with him and took my grade from failing to a B! He worked on my schedule, and made the information easy to understand. We worked in person and over Skype when that was not possible. He really does work 24/7 as advertised, no matter where he is. I had to turn in last minute homework on a Saturday night and we worked on it until 2AM! I absolutely will use him again and would recommend him to anyone. I am a Senior obtaining my B.S. in Management.
John is the best tutor that I have ever met! He worked with me on the SAT and explained all of the problems really carefully with precision. He has a wonderful personality and an effective way of teaching. He is very knowledgeable about the SAT. I will strongly recommend anyone to get tutored from him. He is truly a really remarkable tutor!
John was organized and excellent at breaking down concepts for the SAT for my brother. We enjoyed working with him very much.
